If you’ve ever thought:
This guy has your answer (and he turned down a $1 billion offer for it):

Amjad Masad built his company Replit around one goal:
Anyone with an idea should be able to turn it into working software, even if they’ve never written a line of code.
That vision has turned Replit into one of the fastest-growing companies in the world, and made Amjad one of the most influential voices in AI.
But not everyone believed in the idea early on.
Back in 2022, Amjad pitched legendary investor Peter Thiel.
He thought Thiel would see the future.
He didn’t.
“He told me that I was engaging in buzzwords and hype. He said saying ‘AI’ is like saying ‘software’ or ‘computer’ — it’s meaningless.”
After ChatGPT exploded, Thiel came around and started investing in AI.
So, we asked Amjad: “Did you ever send him that ARR graph?”
“I did… I sent him an email telling him how much I respect him and his brilliance, but that I hope now he sees that I actually saw the future.”
Did Peter ever respond?
…No (lol).
But Amjad’s not bitter. He’s building. And he believes right now is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for:
In fact, here are 7 specific things he wants you to know, so you don’t miss out…

“A lot of people think I’m selling magic,” Amjad says. “I’m not.”
“Management [of AI tools] is hard. You need to think clearly. You need to communicate clearly. It’s going to get frustrating. The agent, the AI, is going to make errors. And it’s going to require resourcefulness.”
The skill that separates owners now? Knowing what you want and knowing how to ask for it.
Aka… NOT THIS (though it’s a hilarious clip -- click to watch):
“The difference between an owner and a worker is the worker trades time for money,” Amjad told us. “I think owners often trade experience — scalable experience — for money.”
If you understand a problem deeply, you can now leverage your experience to own the tool that solves it without writing code, hiring a team, or even raising capital.

“Put your experience into a piece of software that can scale to hundreds, thousands, millions of customers, and you’re going to be able to make a lot of money.”
But how do you identify that problem?
“Entrepreneurship is not always about taking massive risk,” Amjad says.
He shared two examples:
“Get a job. Find an industry you’re interested in and open your eyes. You’re going to find massive inefficiencies… and you’ll know where AI can plug in.”
“Previously, when you have an idea and want to turn it into code, you’re translating business logic into hard mathematical constructs,” Amjad told us.
“Most of your time is spent on syntax, not real problem-solving… Programmers spend maybe 10-20% actually thinking about users and the product, and 80% fighting with systems.”
Replit’s mission, and yours as a business owner or builder in the AI era, is to flip that.
Most people avoid discomfort and hard truths.
Amjad says that’s exactly why he sees companies fail.

“If you want to build a great business, you need to not just look at revenue growth… But you need to look at your churn. You need to look at your spend. You need to look at your cost. Seek what’s not working.”
Amjad landed in the U.S. with “nothing but credit card debt.”
Despite all the noise, political dysfunction, economic uncertainty, and cultural cynicism, he’s still deeply bullish on America.
“The markets in this country are still some of the best. You can get funding, debt, backing… It’s still much easier than anywhere else for someone to take a risk on you.”
And maybe most importantly:

“It’ll probably take 5 years before everyone in the world learns that this technology exists,” Amjad says.
So if you already own (or want to buy) a business?
“Find businesses that are running inefficiently,” he told us. “Figure out where to plug in AI.”
“A lot of companies pay tens of thousands for software you can now build on Replit for $5. You can go into any business, shave off a lot of cost, and make it more profitable, even without growing it.”
In a few years, this edge will be common knowledge.
Today, it’s an unfair advantage.

And you’re probably thinking: “I should really learn how to do this.”
